It doesn't seem possible! Most of us are still trying to get over Christmas, maybe still returning stuff we don't want or can't use, and already another gift day is coming up quickly. Yes, VALENTINES DAY is less than a month away, and if you're an online shopper, you know what that means: you need to start looking NOW so you have what you want for that special someone in time.

So to help you start thinking about love, romance and all the other things, apart from chocolates, that we associate with Valentines Day, I've put together the video above. It highlights some of our red, as in ruby, items and also offers an assortment of rings, bracelets, necklaces and pins that you may not be aware we carry, all of which would make a lovely Valentine's gift.

Turn up your speakers and watch the video with your hubby, boyfriend or fiancee. Relax to a dreamy version of "My Funny Valentine" performed and recorded by singer/songwriter Victoria Boland many years ago now when she was still a teen. Then scurry on over to our  DIVINE FINDS SHOP at RUBY LANE or RUBY PLAZA to make sure you get what you want in plenty of time for February 14th.

What is "bling"? When you search Google, you get definitions like this:

"Expensive, ostentatious clothing and jewelery"

Wikipedia concurs, saying "bling" is a "slang term popularized in hip hop culture, referring to flashy, ostentatious or elaborate jewelry"

So, titling a blog post with, "Vintage Rings with Real Bling" is taking a bit of a risk as there's something negative about the above definitions of "bling". Yet, when I look at our latest additions to our ring line at DIVINE FINDS JEWELRY, "bling" is the first word that comes to mind. A ring like the one on the left is, well, blingy. It's big, and for some I'm sure, ostentatious. But it's gorgeous, not gaudy, fiery not flashy. It has what I call "real bling". It's made with genuine, natural (as opposed to man-made) gemstones and is the kind of ring you save for special occasions, not one you wear here, there and everywhere. It's very special, and above all, rare. Unique bling.

Well here's our latest ring (shown below) with real bling, just added. The real bling in this beauty rests in its rare 1.60ct center diamond, a GIA certified stone graded "Fancy Deep Brownish Green Yellow" ... now that's real bling. Large diamonds are always valuable and in demand, and currently, colored diamonds are all the rage. Now add to that that massive diamond is surrounded by another 1.22cts of smaller, high quality diamonds, and again, we're talking serious bling!

This ring has recently been appraised with a replacement value of nearly $23,000  USD. You can learn more about it and read the appraisal HERE

If you haven't been over to our shop in the last few days, then you probably haven't seen this delightful Heart-shaped Ruby & Diamond Ring below:

Oh what a delightful ring. Not all that blingy in terms of size, but with lots of bling in its unique design, 0.60cts of natural rubies and 16 diamonds of VVS - VS clarity and F color. Real bling! Now what lady wouldn't mind her beloved giving her this one for Valentine's Day 2012? There's already a lot of interest in this ring, so it's not one to sit and think about too long. The price is right and the ring is out of sight gorgeous. Read more and see more photos HERE

We can't wrap up a post on rings with real bling without reminding you about this one-of-a-kind, absolutely blingy in every sense of the word, ring below:

This late ART DECO Bouquet and Bow ring is about as ostentatious as it gets with its 3.10cts of VVS - VVS2 diamonds and its overall dimensions: over 1.3 inches long and nearly a full inch wide.  But isn't it just beautiful! Intricate workmanship, thoughtful design and true quality through and through. And think about this: "bling" is a very current word usually applied to the jewelry worn by today's celebrities. But this ring dates to the late 1940's. Point? Real "bling" has been around for a very long time.   Much of the designer signed costume jewelry favoured by the women of the 40's to 60's, with its multi-colored large rhinestones was very "blingy", even flashy, and women loved it.

Yes, "bling is in" and truth be known, it always has been. Visit us today to see our wonderful antique and vintage rings with real bling!
